John Angelillo was born and is still based in New York City

John's sports photographs appear in a wide variety of publications including The Sporting News, Sports Illustrated, ESPN The Magazine, Time, People as well as various magazines and newspapers worldwide.

After receiving a BA from Concordia College, John developed his photography skills by shooting some of the most well-known pro athlete's and corporate executives from around the world.

Most of John's work today entails corporate events, sports outings, as well as professional and college athletics.

The highest point in John's career is still the summer of 77 where he posted a wiffle ball batting average of .560 while blasting 85 homers including 9 in one game. After a secret ballot in the tool shed that also served as 2nd base, Jaaaahhnny as he is affectionately known, was unanimously elected MVP for that stellar season. To this date none of the 4 members of the league ever posted such colossal offensive statistics. Although he has on numerous occasion been accused of using performance enhancing substances mainly sugar from canolies, Jolly Ranchers & RC Cola they were not banned substances during that magical summer of 1977.
